Nasa-funded Project Will Crowdsource Data to Study Mysterious Transient Luminous Events

A new NASA-funded project is seeking citizen scientists to help study mysterious "transient luminous events" in the upper atmosphere. The project, called the Citizen CATE Experiment (Citizen Continental-America Telescopic Eclipse Experiment), will use data from a network of small telescopes to study the phenomenon.
