Two of the most iconic flying saucer photos ever are from RI? Our history of UFO sightings

Was there an out-of-this-world cause of a 1967 power failure that knocked out electricity in Woonsocket, Cumberland and North Smithfield? Harold A. Trudel of Woonsocket thought so. A day later he told The Providence Journal and its sister paper, The Evening Bulletin, that he saw a UFO hovering over power lines in the city just before the blackout. And Trudel went one step further: He produced several photos of the whirling, saucer-like craft, some of the most famous UFO photos ever published.
